| Description | One of three branches of the Yugoslav People’s Army and formed in 1918 as the Royal Yugoslav Air Force. Several hundred aircrew escaped the Axis invasion of April 1941 to the Allied base in Egypt, eventually flying with the RAF. Reformed in 1945, it disbanded following the war in Yugoslavia 1991-1995. |
