| Description | A French politician. He served as Prime Minister of France from 27 Jan 1931 to 20 Feb 1932, and a second time from 7 Jun 1935 to 24 Jan 1936. During WW2 he served in prominent roles in Philippe Pétain's Vichy Regime, as the vice-president of the Council of Ministers, and later as the head of government. He was executed by firing squad in October 1945. |
