Description A Royal Navy officer who served in WW2 as the Commanding Officer of Destroyer HMS Duncan, the leader of the 21st Destroyer Flotilla and later the Commanding Officer of the Cruiser HMS Orion. He was killed when the Orion was bombed and badly damaged during the evacuation of Crete on 29 May 1941.
