Description A Royal Navy officer who commanded the submarines HMS L27, Seraph, Sea Nymph, Tactician, Trespasser and Sportsman during WW2. On 30 Apr 1943 in a disinformation exercise 'Operation Mincemeat', HMS Seraph buried a man dressed as a Royal Marines officer with 'secret' plans off of the Spanish coast. He provided the reports used in the book 'Secret Mission Submarine' by Cecil Carnes decribing the Seraph's service.
